Dr. Nina Malik runs an integrative medicine service for companion and exotic animals on Long Island and within the greater New York city area.
The best medicine is one that combines the centuries-old wisdom of the East with the knowledge of the West. Dr. Nina Malik is a Cornell University trained allopathic veterinarian with a special interest in integrated veterinary medicine. She has been trained in small animal veterinary acupuncture and works with general veterinarians and veterinary specialists across Long Island to provide integrated veterinary care for animals.
Dr. Malik believes in a holistic approach to veterinary medicine. This is why we look at your pet from a Western medical point of view (physical exam and test results) and an Eastern point of view. From a Traditional Chinese Medicine point of view, she will consider the lifestyle of your pet, their personality, and underlying patterns that may be at the root of their medical problems.
Dr. Malik will also work closely with your regular veterinarian so that a team-approach can be taken to provide the best medical care for your pet.
We offer a full integrative medicine service for small animals and exotics.
This includes:
Acupuncture
Electroacupuncture (passing a small current through needles)
